We made a quick assessment of how a motor racing commentators makes use of pace, pitch and volume to engage and inform their listeners. We then gave our own commentating skills a whirl using iPods and some unseen race footage. Lots of high-pitched volume accompanied the three-car pile up and that was just from the Kingsbrook commentators doing their job.
